| Jackpotjoy Has The X Factor Slots (July 2009) Jackpotjoy have unveiled yet another new slots game and they're hoping that this one has The X Factor - mainly because it's The X Factor slots game! TV themed slots have proven to be a bit hit and miss so have Jackpotjoy got themselves a Leona Lewis or a Leon Jackson of a game on their hands? 
Surprisingly Jackpotjoy haven't bigged up The X Factor slots launch. That may be because their Monopoly promotion is still running or because quite simply it's not worth a major push. Sadly it could well be the latter as this 5 reel 15 line slot is just not very exciting, especially when compared to The Transformers Slots. The X Factor, Steps to Stardom, manages the unthinkable and that is it makes Leon Jackson look interesting. Firstly the images, whilst very polished, are run of the mill. Why not some pictures of Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue? Or even previous winners like Alexander Burke, Leona or Ryhdian (ok he didn't win, but he should have)!
Another annoyance is the music. You know at the end of an X Factor show there's that long pause whilst Dermot O'Leary pretends he doesn't know the results... well it's that music. It's only punctuated by the occasional win or bonus.
The bonus game though really isn't worth the wait! You get a choice of boxes to select that allow you to pick up free spins or multipliers. You then do your free spins... and erm that's it! That's the end of the bonus round.
The slots may well appeal to X Factor fans, but sadly it lacks it's own X Factor and if Simon Cowell was judging this game he'd be saying that it would be lucky to stay in the contest. Steps to Stardom? More like to Steps to playing Deal or No Deal slots instead! Go To Jackpotjoy |
